Wendy McClellan, Mortgage Loan Originator, joined Citizens Bank in 2021.  Wendy became a mortgage lender in 2002, specializing in residential construction lending while also serving as VP of Sales for one of the largest local custom homebuilders in the Indianapolis area, in order to offer her customers a “one-stop” shopping experience.  In 2007, she obtained her real estate license and soon after, opened a real estate brokerage specializing in serving numerous custom builders and their clients on both their financing and real estate needs.  As her clientele in mortgage lending grew, she became devoted to it full-time in 2012.

Wendy’s expertise in working with custom builders, as well as her well-rounded understanding of the real estate industry and handling transactions successfully from start to finish, has earned her the confidence of countless Realtors and homebuilders in our market who know that her service and knowledge will ensure they and their  clients will receive excellent service,  great communication, and sound guidance throughout their entire process.    While she still specializes in Construction-Perm and vacant lot lending, she works extensively with borrowers who are purchasing a home, refinancing, or desiring to pull equity out of their current home for improvements, remodeling, or simply to have a line of credit for other expenses.

While Wendy serves clients in the entire Indianapolis area, the ‘donut’ counties, and beyond, her home base is Johnson County, where she has resided her entire life.  In 2021, feeling a desire to give back to the community she loves that has blessed her with great opportunities, she founded Uplift Johnson County, a 501c3 whose mission is to “See a Need, Seek to Fill It”.  Uplift has performed countless service projects and fundraisers to bless those in need right in the community where she lives and works.  Citizens Bank, as well as many of her clients and referral sources, have joined her in her in her mission to give back, serving alongside her in many of the worthy causes Uplift has undertaken.

Wendy McClellan, President and Managing Broker of Builder Resource Group/BRG Realty Partners, began her career in residential real estate immediately after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Advertising from Franklin College in 1993, working in sales and marketing for a local homebuilder. She has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of homebuilding, serving for over 10 years as Vice President of Sales and Operations for one of the largest custom builders in Johnson County. Desiring to offer packaged services to her clients, Wendy became a licensed mortgage originator in 2002, enabling her to offer in-house mortgage financing to her clients through First Federal Savings Bank. Recognizing that the needs and desires of clients who are building is very similar to that of other real estate clients, she expanded her client services again in 2006 to include serving the needs of clients wishing to buy or sell pre-existing real estate. Her entire career has been customer service driven, focused on dealing directly with her clients on a one-on-one basis. She is a Certified New Home Sales Professional by the National Association of Homebuilders, and holds both her Real Estate Managing Broker and Mortgage Originator licenses.
