Professional Background
What inspired you to become a mortgage lender?
Helping people buy their homes is incredibly rewarding. A home is often the biggest purchase a person will make in their lifetime, and I enjoy being part of that journey.
What do you enjoy most about helping customers with home financing?
People have many options when it comes to financing, and I believe Citizens Bank does a great job of providing the best possible solutions based on market conditions and timing.
Do you specialize in any particular loan products?
I appreciate that Citizens Bank offers a wide variety of loan products that many institutions don’t. I enjoy working through different options to find the best scenario for each borrower.
What’s one piece of advice you always give to homebuyers?
Exhale! Owning a home is fun.
Do you have a favorite success story from helping a homebuyer?
I always enjoy seeing the excitement on first-time homebuyers’ faces at closing. It’s a big step, but most of them look thrilled with their decision, and that’s a great feeling.
Life Outside of Work
What are your hobbies and interests?
Golf, pickleball, and smoking cigars. I used to ski regularly, but I’m a little too old for that now!
Do you have a favorite local spot?
Whit’s Inn.
What do you love most about living and working in this community?
I grew up in Johnson County, went to high school and college here, and have family and lifelong friends in the area. I’ve traveled a lot, both in the U.S. and abroad, but I’m always glad to come home.
If you weren’t a mortgage lender, what career would you have pursued?
Being a golf ranger doesn’t pay much, but I could see myself doing that one day!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’ve traveled a lot, but I’d love to spend a couple of months in Australia and New Zealand. And before I’m too old, I will play St. Andrews golf course!
