Describe your position at Citizens Bank
I meet with clients, assist them in choosing a loan product that meets their needs, set up their loan terms and walk them through the loan process. I specialize in construction lending and land loans, and all the ins and outs that come with building, but I am a full-service lender experienced with purchase, refinance, and equity loans as well.
Did you work in this field before coming to Citizens?
I have been in the building, real estate, and mortgage industry since 1995.
What is your favorite part about working for Citizens?
There are so many things I love about Citizens Bank. I value the emphasis on customer service. I am so grateful for the customer focused, team approach the Bank has to getting loans through the process, and the variety of products and the desire to cater our products to the needs of our clients.
What motivates you?
I enjoy the process of assisting clients and helping them achieve their financial goals, whether they’re building, buying, refinancing, or remodeling their home. I derive satisfaction out of seeing buyers achieve their goal of either buying or building a new home or leveraging the equity in their current one to achieve other financial goals or improve their current home.
What are you passionate about?
I have a non-profit, Uplift Johnson County, that performs community service projects in the community. Our mission is to “see a need, seek to fill it”. I am passionate about leading the effort to give back to my community and partnering with other leaders in the community to do so.
Who inspires you?
I am inspired by people who can overcome odds or turn their tragic or unfortunate circumstances into a way to serve others. I have been really motivated by my membership in an organization called 100+ Women Who Care. Each member commits to donate $100 for each of four quarterly meetings, where we are introduced to three local, grassroots non-profits who are serving within our community. At the end of the meeting, we vote to give a no-strings-attached grant (it is up to over $15,000 per quarter) to benefit to one of the non-profits. I never realized how many inspirational folks are doing great work for worthy causes in our community, which was a big part of why I founded Uplift Johnson County.
What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?
My favorite “hobby” outside of work is Uplift. I’ll share our website in case anyone wants more information: upliftjoco.org.
I’m an avid runner and I have been for quite some time. I ran 24 mini-marathons in a row and missed my 25th when it was cancelled due to COVID for two years in a row, so I’ll be running my 25th mini-marathon this year. I also enjoy cycling, golf, and travel with my husband and our little dog.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to see the Holy Land, and I want to see Europe. Our vacations are typically tropical, and while I love the beach, I would love to see something different.
What’s your favorite food?
Mexican food and pizza are my favorites! I could eat either of those all day, every day.
What are the 4 things that make you the happiest?
1. Spending time with my husband, our dog.
2. The beach - anything to do with the ocean and water.
3. Quality time spent with the people that I love.
4. The longstanding relationships I have built during a great career, with my customers, builders, realtors, and colleagues, who are among some of my closest friends.
What else do you want customers to know about you?
I have been on all sides of the real estate transaction. I have been in new home sales for builders and sales management for 20 years. I have a real estate license. I have served on the board of directors as a builder member of both the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis and the Johnson County Builders Council, where I served as council president. I held the builder seat on the MIBOR board of directors for one year, and I currently serve on the Habitat for Humanity board of directors. I have a lot of experience when it comes to all sides of the real estate transaction, and I think that experience really benefits my customer base!
